What are kettlebells?
Unlike traditional weights, the unique design of the kettlebell makes it more challenging to use as its weight is offset from the grip. A variety of dynamic and slow movements will improve functional all-round bodily strength, fitness and flexibility. It’s also reported that you can burn between 400-1,000 calories per kettlebell session making it the number one choice of equipment for personal trainers.
Kettlebells have featured in the most recent Rocky film, and celebrities such as Kim Catrall and Penelope Cruz have included kettlebell routines to keep their stunning red carpet figures. Lance Armstrong used them to build up his strength after recovering from cancer, then went on to win the Tour de France seven times! David Haye trained with them before he took his world heavy weight boxing title from the Russian giant.
